In a fast-changing environment Telecom is reshaping it's business, aiming to win customers by connecting them at the 'speed of life'.

Telecom and the wider telecommunications industry has undergone profound change in recent years. During FY13 Telecom made some deliberate decisions to grow their share in the mobile market, hold share in the broadband market and re-focus their business services portfolio, while also reducing their operating costs. To support this change in focus they wanted an annual report that spoke more to consumers and retail investors and that clearly outlined their strategic priorities for the next twelve months.

The central theme of connecting customers at the 'speed of life' is supported by the use of bold colour and typography, clear messaging and vibrant, more consumer-focused imagery. This clarity and accessibility of messaging helped Telecom win the best annual report for a corporate organisation in the 2013 NZICA annual reporting awards.
