Micheal Hanly
Micheal Hanly
Intermediate Designer
With one of New Zealand’s most well-known painters as his grandfather, Micheal Hanly was always going to work in the arts. Sadly a bit useless at wielding a paintbrush, he prefers the digital tablet as his form of expression. After two years as Art Director for Auckland’s iconic current affairs magazine Metro, Mike wanted to get back to his branding roots. With almost a decade’s experience in the design industry, including a successful stint at some of Melbourne’s boutique studios, Mike has made a name for himself as a clever designer who favours good ideas executed in a clean, precise manner.

Along the way he’s picked up some of NZ’s most coveted design awards, including Best Magazine Design at the Canon Media Awards 2016 and Best Current Affairs & Business Cover and Best Magazine Designer at this year’s MPAs and Canons.

Just don’t ask him to paint anything.
